Mister Supranational 2018 Prathamesh Maulingkar was honoured with the Best Goan Influencer Award by Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on the occasion of World Tourism Day. Recognising his contribution to showcasing Goa through content creation, the award celebrates Prathamesh’s efforts to highlight the state’s landscapes, culture and lesser-known experiences offering audiences a glimpse into Goa beyond its popular tourist spots. On World Tourism Day, Goa Tourism organised an event to honour individuals who have contributed to the state and helped promote Goa as a destination. The occasion brought together people whose work has helped showcase different facets of the state, celebrating their efforts to put Goa’s culture, communities and tourism experiences in the spotlight. Among those recognised was Prathamesh, whose journey as a content creator has been closely connected to his love for exploring Goa. Through his content, he has taken audiences beyond the familiar tourist attractions, documenting unexplored corners, local experiences and the many sides of the state that make it distinctive. His work has allowed viewers to discover Goa through a more personal lens while encouraging curiosity about places that often remain away from the usual tourist trail. Upon receiving the award, Prathamesh shared, “Growing up in Goa, exploring, travelling and experiencing everything the state has to offer has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I simply kept sharing those experiences and showing people the Goa I’ve always known and loved. I never started creating content with the intention of receiving awards, so being honoured by Goa Tourism for something that comes so naturally to me is incredibly special and humbling.” From representing India on the international pageant stage to building a presence as a content creator, Prathamesh has continued to explore different avenues that reflect his interests and connection with Goa. The Best Goan Influencer Award adds another recognition to his journey, highlighting his contribution to showcasing the state through his own experiences and perspective.
